FAQ's

The nearest shops? Our nearest shop is the SPAR in the Penyffordd village, which is a 3 minute drive away.  If it’s a supermarket you’re looking for, we suggest Aldi, Tesco or M&S  in Broughton Park, just a 10 minute drive away.

The nearest pub? Our nearest pub is the Millstone, which is a 3 minute drive away or a 1 mile walk.

Where are the nearest dog friendly places? Clawdd Offa Farm is dog friendly and most nearby walking routes. Thankfully, we are surrounded by some fantastic areas, all of which are dog friendly. Loggerheads is one of our personal favourites, and Moel Fammau is also fantastic.

Eating places? Many local pubs and cafes in the local area that serve good food and drink. We suggest the Millstone or The Red Lion, both in Penyffordd village and around 1 mile walk.

I have mobility issues. How can I access the camp site? We have direct access to the campsite so you will be able to park your car nearby to unload. There is parking outside both the holiday cottages.

Can I pitch my tent by my car? Please note our pitches do not allow for car parking by them. If you are camping in our lower fields, you will have access to our car park which will be no more than a 1-minute walk from your pitch.

Do you have wifi? Yes we do – access is fine for the holiday cottages. If you are camping with us, our wifi is accessible put please remember that we are in a fairly rural, so our connection can be slow at times and is not suitable for streaming or downloading content such as movies.

What is the mobile signal like? Clawdd Offa Farm is situated in a fairly rural area, but you are more than likely to have phone signal during your stay.

Do you accept groups? By arrangement we welcome small groups of family / friends who respect the tranquil environment here. There are a few areas of our camp site where you can pitch a small group of tents together but we are required by planning conditions to limit where tents are pitched. Please phone us to book on 01978 761 717 rather than trying to book online.  Exclusive hire of the whole site is available for special celebrations if you book far enough in advance!

How do I book camping, glamping or the holiday cottages? You can check availability for glamping and book through our Airbnb page - or for best deals contact us directly!

I've booked a marquee for my party or wedding, what time do I need to switch off the music? Bands finish by 11:30am, all other amplified music off no later than 12am.

Can I swim in the pond? No, sorry

Can I bring my own alcohol to the marquee event? The sale of alcohol must be arranged through our bar. If you have something in particular you enjoy drinking they will be happy to stock it on the day! Talk to the team about your options.

Can I arrange my own catering in your marquee? We offer a selection of approved suppliers who can cater for any style of food and to your agreed budget.
